Two people, including a teen, were struck and killed by hit-and-run drivers in two Bronx accidents within an hour late yesterday and early today, cops said.
David Ellis, 18, of Fordham was riding his bike in Wlliamsbridge near Webster Avenue and Gun Hill Road when a 2001 Nissan Maxima smashed into him from behind about 11:20 p.m., cops said.
Ellis was flung into the southbound lane of Webster Avenue, then hit by a Ford Explorer, whose 46-year-old driver stayed on scene, authorities said.
The driver and passenger in the Nissan Maxima sped off, cops said. No arrests have been made.
At 12:15 a.m. -- barely an hour later -- two men crossing the Grand Concourse near East 170th Street were hit by a 2011 Honda CRV.
One of the men, 42 years old, was rushed to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where he died, police said. His name was not released.
The other man, 34 years old, is fighting for his life at Lincoln Hospital.
Police caught the Honda's driver a few blocks away after he smashed into an EMS ambulance which was rushing to the crash scene, cops said.
