Many kids were disappointed that showings of the blockbuster “The Avengers” were sold out across the city for a second straight weekend. And so was Warner Music CEO Lyor Cohen. Spies told us the powerful executive and his designer girlfriend, Tory Burch, showed up for an 8:40 p.m. screening at Regal Union Square on Friday, only to find the house was full. A spy tells Page Six, “It was sold out, so Lyor was trying to get people to sell him their tickets,” adding, “Tory looked mortified.” The witness added that despite Cohen’s super efforts, the couple didn’t end up getting into the cinema. Another source close to the music mogul tells us he was just joking. A rep for Cohen had no comment.
