STILL NOT WILD ABOUT REED

Page Six Photo

August 28, 2008 --

SO much for solidarity in sobriety among rock 'n' rollers. Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, a recovering alcoholic and heroin addict, is still upset his own music idol, Lou Reed, blew off his request to contribute to his book "The Heroin Diaries," even though other ex-addicts like Slash and Alice Cooper participated in the best seller. "That was really disappointing to me," Sixx told The Post's Peter Lauria backstage during Saturday's Crue Fest at the PNC Arts Center in New Jersey. Sixx - who penned the Motley Crue hit "Wild Side" as an ode to Reed - was downplaying his feelings, a source said, and was actually "really p - - - ed off" at Reed. Reed is traveling and couldn't be reached for a comment.
